Co-Founder & CEO - Chang Wen
When you look at Ninja Van today, with over 30,000 employees in six markets, delivering over 1000+ parcels per minute, you would not think that back in 2014, founders Chang Wen, Tan Bo Xian and Shaun Chong were just three guys sleeping on mattresses on the floor of their office trying to solve one of the most hairy and complex inefficiencies in Southeast Asia - last-mile logistics.
The idea for Ninja Van started when Chang Wen, 27 year old at the time, dealt with a huge pain point himself in his previous venture Marcella - being able to deliver his customer's orders. At the time, parcels were often delayed or lost.
In the early days, the founders spent 22-hour days sorting parcels on their own, making deliveries, to meeting clients. Today, Ninja Van has emerged as a leader in last-mile logistics for e-commerce over a short span of five years. Chang Wen and his team have demonstrated the power of technology and strong execution in transforming logistics.
Ninja Van has just raised its Series D and we are proud to be Ninja Van's first institutional investor.
